39 outdoor activity for babies
We are in week 9 of home quarantine in Cambridge with a 9 month old. The past few weekends we’ve driven to try and visit parks but all the lots we found were closed. And as a bonus limiting factor there is nowhere to stop and go to the bathroom. I understand the need for social distancing, which we definitely honor and wear masks etc, but poor little one hasn’t been anywhere except our tiny apartment for weeks and weeks and I think she needs some nature exploration and a new stimulating environm... Buy some squeeze bottles from the dollar store (the ones with the long skinny end). Fill with water and some drops of food colouring=at least 30-60mins of independent outdoor play. My toddler is obsessed. I have a fenced backyard so I literally sit in my house and drink coffee while i watch her spray colours onto the snow and refill them a few times. We are going on morning three of this routine I quite like it!
My 11 month old and I are both sick of being stuck indoors all day, but we want to be cautious with omicron spreading. I took him to the casa loma holiday lights thing a couple weeks ago because it was all outdoors and we had a lot of fun. I'm looking for other safe and fun outdoor sights/activities/events happening around Toronto that I could take him to.

I'm new to the apps (about a month). Very Covid cautious due to having an unvaxxable child at home (and not wanting long Covid, and not wanting to roll the dice, in general!). I've only gone on 2 dates (with the same person) after lots of discussions. Currently talking to a few people that I'd like to go on a first date with. What I feel most comfortable with is an outdoor hang for about an hour, seeing if there's a vibe and then possibly moving indoors (or planning a 2nd date to be indoors) aft... I have a family member who is very covid cautions coming to visit— we are also very cautious. He’s driving nonstop to avoid picking anything up and will be staying in a separate living space so we can all distance, and we’ll be masking around each other too unless outdoors. It’s been years since we’ve seen each other now because of life and the pandemic so we’re making this visit happen but trying to do it as cautiously as possible. I’m trying to think of activities to do but I moved up here dur... The lockdown perfectly aligns with our Center Parcs vacations, where everything is getting closed down now. So we’re looking for outdoor activities we could do with our ~5 year kids, any ideas?
Outdoor activity for babies. Could be a strange question but does anyone actually use emergency beacons when hiking/mountaineering in Switzerland? You don't always have cellular connection, and I am just wondering what one is supposed to do in case of emergency if you can't call for help. (Under emergency beacons I mean devices like rescueMe PLB1 or ResQlink+ PLB. There is a Garmin inReach Mini sold on Galaxus but it requires a monthly subscription to work properly.) Also, there are avalanche transceivers but I'd assume ... I love doing outdoor activities but due to cancer treatment I'm on tons of immunosuppressants and have lung and gut issues so it's difficult to meet new people as well as go hiking and other activities I used to love. Just wondering if there are others out there that need to be extra careful both medically and physically but still want to have fun and do things to improve our health and well being. Good morning. Highly motivated to contribute to OpenStreetMap, I would like to have your point of view of which tags are currently the most wanted to improve ? Here is a list of amenity tags, additionnal tags will be documented if needed. My plan is to take a photo of everything missing, take Gps point, survey and take my time to edit OSM at home. Do I miss some of them, anything to prefer ? Thanks. amenity=shelter : shelter\_type=picnic\_shelter / public\_transport amenity=... Looking to get my daughter involved in organized outdoor activities, does anyone know of anything available? Thank you.
Generally all sorted for the pants and headgear since they keep me well covered but since I've been hiking and camping every weekend for the last two months, I've been getting really toasty and/or sunburnt because I can't bear to wear a long sleeve top and end up stripping to a singlet. Yes, I wear sunscreen and reapply when I can, but it honestly isn't enough and I need to take care of my skin better when I'm out in the sunlight for the whole darn day. Does anyone have any suggestions for long... I’ve been playing Pokemon GO since it’s release. I enjoy it immensely — walking around my city with my wife, playing that game, has created long-lasting memories. I love the grind, the gameplay loop, the hunt for shinies...Despite it’s flaws, it’s been well worth the time investment, IMO. The game is flawed, though; especially in it’s integration of it’s adventuring mechanics. I’m sure most here are already players of the game, so I don’t need to delve too far, but at this stage, there’s just t... I’m 6’ 170lbs. I plan on doing a flat trail(snow-covered limestone trail). What type of skis and gear will I need? Here's my contributions for those who are interested: **Walks** \- Grand Canyon (Blue Mountains) \- Bundeena to Marley Beach (Royal National Park) \- Karloo Walking Track (Royal National Park) \- Blue Gum Walk (Hornsby) **Cyclepaths** \- Cook's River Cycleway \- Prospect Canal Cycleway
Interested in kayaking, SUP and bike rentals. Any recommended shops for these? The lockdown perfectly aligns with our Center Parcs vacations, where everything is getting closed down now.
